Landing timeline
Beagle 2 was due to land on Mars on 25th December 2003. The spacecraft was successfully ejected from Mars Express on 19th December 2003. Nothing has been heard from Beagle 2 and the mission is presumed lost.

Most recent news
Beagle 2 team's internal reports released 24th August 2004. The reports document possible reasons for failure. No one cause has been identified but lessons have been learned.

The House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee is expected to report on Beagle 2 in the autumn. Meanwhile the Beagle 2 team continues to explore all possible ways to reflying the Beagle 2 lander to Mars.
